Starting this sunday (sailing events).

The competition will be fierce. Great Britain is the favorite, with great champions and playing at home. But of course the United States, Norway, Denmark, Spain, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil .... and many others. People like Ben Ainslie, Robert Scheidt ... are great favorites, but for each class, 10 ppl may pretend to the gold medal, with a bit of luck in finals.

For the first time this year: a women's event of Match Racing (Elliott 6m), with the one I'll support the most: Elodie Bertrand.
We are "neighbors" as she is from Arcachon, she was also member of the excellent Mermaid Sailing Team).

Talking about the french team, the target is set to 6 medals by the french federation. Well...
At least, they have lot of motivation, and they are warriors minded, in the purest spirit of the Olympics. Their motivation is even increased by the fact that for the first time in the history of the olympics, our dear british neighbors seem to forget that the first official language for all olympics is the french... :)

What about your own national teams? How is the press coverage for sailing in your countries? Any favorites?
